Sony has announced that the Miles Morales sequel will get an Ultimate Edition, and that the Ultimate Edition comes with Spider-Man (2018) remastered for PS5. They will need to purchase Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition. Sony has confirmed there will not be a free upgrade of the remastered Spider-Man for PS4 players. PlayStation also reminds users that they “…can always check the ‘Last chance to play section’ on the PlayStation Plus -> Collections page on the PS5 console, or PlayStation Plus -> Games -> Games Catalogue on the PS4 console for titles you might want to play before they leave the service.Sony Confirms No Free Upgrade For Spider-Man Players - September 24th It would almost seem like an insidious move to get users to buy the game ahead of the sequel launch, if Spider-Man 2 wasn’t a PS5 exclusive with a PS5 remaster of the first game still commanding full price. The timing is also odd with the highly-anticipated sequel set to arrive later this year. It’s come as a bit of a shock to most, given that the game is a staple in PlayStation’s library and – since it’s only the last-gen version of Spider-Man that’s on the service – not exactly a premium product any longer. This means that once May 15 rolls around, subscribers will lose access to these games entirely even if they’ve already downloaded and played them. Marvel’s Spider-Man, a first-party PlayStation 4 game and one of the platform’s marquee titles, is being removed from the PlayStation Plus Extra game catalogue on May 15, along with the classic Resident Evil, NBA 2K Playgrounds and 28 others.
